Blog Hop!

Hi Friends/Readers!!

I have agreed to participate in a weekly Blog hop between authors. The torch was passed from fellow author Carol Fragale Brill, author of Cape Maybe and Peace by Piece. (Thank you Carol for posting information about myself and my books on your blog last week!) Below is information on Carol's writing and a little about who she is personally. Please look up her books. I have read Cape Maybe and thoroughly enjoyed the story. A great emotional read!

Carol is the author of two novels, PEACE BY PIECE and CAPE MAYBE, an Amazon Women's Fiction Bestseller. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her fiction received recognition from Poets and Writers and was a reader’s favorite for The Best of Philadelphia Stories. Her works have also appeared in Wide ArrayNew York Journal of Books, the Press of Atlantic City, and various online e-zines and business journals.

Now onto the meat of the blog hop! Questions Weekly for each author focusing on:

1) What am I working on?
I am just releasing my third book in the Attainment Series, Chloe. Look for details to come soon about a release date. You're going to love finding out all about Chloe! Currently I'm working on my first stand alone novel , 'Identical Dream'. I lam SO excited about this story! It's one I've been working on for some time now (stopping and starting to finish my previous series). The basis of the story is Annie, a character in her late 20's,who decided to venture from her small town to the city. She is a traveling Registered nurse and has always dreamed of living in a big city. Her first time flying, she meets handsome, but overly analytic and formal Grant Macgregor in the seat next to her. They fall hopelessly in love and quickly move forward as a couple. Things start to unravel when they don't conceive a baby right away as Annie dreamed. Grant gives them space when he decides to travel overseas to help a new hospital install a new computer system. When he returns several weeks later, he is a changed man...literally? Annie falls in love with the new Grant all over again, deeper if possible. But...something is oh so different. Things get better and better for them until the unexpected happens and shocking, jaw-dropping truths are revealed changing their worlds forever.

2 2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?
My work is very much a real life experience...or at least it could be. While the story-line is definitely fast paced and page turning, the events could happen in real life. There is ALWAYS an underlying love story - because that makes me happy. However, there will be plenty of twists and turns to keep the readers attention. The love scenes are tasteful, but sensual, and the level of emotions are always high in my stories.

3) Why do I write what I do?
I write the types of stories that I want to read. There are so many genres now to choose from. For my reading pleasure, I skip around all over from chick lit to New Adult to even erotica (at times). However, I stick to writing love stories with an element of suspense. Some would group it in the chick lit, some in New adult, and some in Romance suspense; but never in erotica.

4) How does my writing process work?
My writing is completely of the self publish process. I write as often and as long as I can each day. Adding to the story-line as much as possible. I also re-read each chapter before I begin the next for editing, but also for flow and to capture foreshadowing that occurred in the previous passages. I want to make sure readers 'got' what I meant when I meant it to happen. LoL. Of course now that I'm publishing my third book I have to also manage the marketing (probably not well enough) of the previous books while working on the launch of my next book to come. It's a time-management task for sure! I also have to work in time to read other authors stories for pure enjoyment, but also to craft my skills. I enjoy writing so much! I hope I have the opportunity to work on my writing process and make it better and better for many years to come.

Here are my latest books. I can't wait for you to read Chloe and review it for me! It's my favorite story yet!

Of course, you can find these e-books and paperbacks at amazon, B&N, and other sites. Visit www.jhcardwell.com to find out more and to like my facebook page for automatic updates or sign up to receive email updates as well.
